Child birth can be stressful and unpredictable but there should not be any surprises regarding who your doctor will be or how your birth will be managed. You deserve a calm, evidence based approach from a doctor you know and trust.
POSTPARTUM AND BEYOND
Now that you are a Mom, we need to maximize your health so you can care for your child and prepare for another healthy pregnancy if you desire. This includes screening for postpartum depression, breast health, contraception, cervical cancer screening, and management of common gynecologic problems such as abnormal bleeding or infections.

JUSTIN THOMPSON, MD
In medical school Dr. Thompson initially dismissed OB-GYN as a field he would be interested in. He was inspired by a spectacular Gynecologic Oncologist, who saved lives of women like his grandmother, a uterine cancer survivor. Dr. Thompson chose to pursue OB-GYN training as a prerequisite to specializing in oncology.
During his residency training at Stanford Hospital, he realized that he thrived on bringing life into the world. From counseling women and couples through their pregnancies to delivering their most precious babies, he experienced unrivaled energy and joy. Dr. Thompson had no doubt this was his calling.
As a board certified OB-GYN, Dr. Thompson has had the honor of delivering thousands of Bay Area babies since 2014 and he would be thrilled to join you on your pregnancy journey.

WHAT INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?
We do not accept insurance. Patients are encouraged to have a PPO insurance plan that covers the other expenses related to pregnancy care such as prenatal labs, genetic testing, perinatology ultrasounds, and hospital bills related to admission/delivery.
WHAT IS THE COST?
We charge a one time membership fee for all pregnancy care. For non-pregnancy related care we charge based on services provided. Please call our office or send us a message to learn more. Most patients are surprised how affordable our personalized care is and that a portion of it is often reimbursed by their insurance company.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PREGNANCY MEMBERSHIP?
Our membership fee includes all prenatal visits, delivery, and postpartum care with Dr. Thompson.

DO YOU ACCEPT PATIENTS WITH HIGH-RISK PREGNANCIES?
Yes. Over 50% of our patients are considered high-risk.
WHAT NON-PREGNANCY RELATED SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
Dr. Thompson provides Gynecologic care such as annual exams, pap smears, hormone replacement therapy, endometrial biopsy, contraception, etc. Please call us during business hours to make an appointment or learn more.
HOW CAN YOU OFFER SUCH PERSONALIZED CARE?
By limiting the number of patients we accept, we ensure each patient receives the time and attention she deserves.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY FIRST PRENATAL VISIT?
This visit usually lasts 60-90 minutes. We will review every aspect of your medical history that could have an impact on the health of your pregnancy. An ultrasound is performed to confirm your due date. We will explain and coordinate prenatal labs, genetic testing, and next steps. All of your questions and concerns will be addressed.
